(BEIJING, August 6) -- The President of the International Olympic Committee Jacques Rogge arrived in Beijing Monday morning.

President Rogge is here to attend the Chefs de Mission Seminar from 7-9 August. On the evening of August 8, he will join in the grand celebration at the Tian'anmen Square, to mark the one-year countdown to the opening of the Olympic Games.

Hein Verbruggen, Chairman of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Coordination Commission for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, has also arrived in Beijing.
