Photo Positions

Dedicated photo positions are allocated at the spectators’ seating area and around the field of play. Please refer to the NIS plan attached.

Photographers may take pictures from any circulation area, including spectator seats. They are allowed to occupy any empty spectator seat provided that they wouldn’t block the other spectators’ view and should vacate the seat immediately when the ticket holder arrives.

At the main photo positions, there are Photo Marshals. Photographers should follow their instructions.

All the photo positions have special labels, namely Photo Position or POOL Position. A limited number of Priority Photo Positions, marked ‘POOL’, are reserved for POOL photographers exclusively. To get access to the Pool Positions, a POOL bib must be worn.

Photo Bib Allocation

There are two kinds of Photo bibs: POOL Bibs and ordinary Photo bibs. POOL bibs are only distributed to photographers from organizations recognized as POOL agencies by IOC.

Ordinary photo bibs are for the Non-POOL photographers. They will be distributed to photographers before the start of the game. Photographers can get them at the Help Desk of the Photo Workroom.

POOL bibs should be applied 1 hour before the start of each competition day. A pool photographer can get a pool bib with the approval of the photo manager. All pool bibs should be returned everyday after the game. Due to limitations, not all applications for POOL bibs can be met.

Bibs must be worn all the time during the game. Both POOL bibs and Photo bibs should never be exchanged. The venue Photo Manager reserves the right to terminate any more applications from the photographer who has broken the rules.

POOL

POOL is consisted of six organizations: AP¡¢Reuters¡¢AFP¡¢XINHUA News Agency¡¢Getty Images and FIG .

Photo positions inside the field of play are provided for POOL exclusively.

POOL also has priority to take other photo positions.

POOL has the obligation to provide photos taken to LOC.

Disk Delivery

Photo Marshals will collect disks and deliver them to the Photo Workroom or Tribunes during each session.

Photographers must put their disks in the envelopes supplied, seal and write the receiver’s information correctly.

The venue photo services team is not liable for any loss or damage of the disks.

Medal Ceremony

Photo positions for the medal ceremony are head-on to the awarding ceremony Podium, only operational during the Awarding Ceremonies. Photographers should follow the guide of photo marshals to the position and get out soon after that.
