Ludwig Scheweizer, the Equipment Inspector of the International Federation of Gymnastics, visited the venue in the Beijing University of Technology on Nov. 30, 2007. After his detailed inspection he gave high praise for the equipment in this venue for the Rhythmic Gymnastics International Invitational Tournament.

On his arrival, Mr. Ludwig was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the design and the construction of this venue after the Venue Manager introduced it to him. Then Mr. Ludwig examined the carpet carefully. He firstly confirmed that the carpet was installed under the supervision of the technical advisers from the Spieth Company, Germany. With that, he made sure that the number and the size of the elastomer under the carpet were up to the standards of the International Federation of Gymnastics. More carefully and considerably, he examined the lines of the five carpets for competition and warm-up. Compared with the error-requirements of being within three centimeters set by the International Federation of Gymnastics, the error for the competition carpet was zero. While measuring the lines, Mr. Ludwig gave “excellent” and even “better than excellent” remarks to the officials who were with him.
