Lu Bin and Yan Mingyong finish one-two in rings final
(Beijing, December 2) In the men's rings final, the first of the three apparatus finals held this evening at the National Indoor Stadium, China's Lu Bin and Yan Mingyong clinched the gold and silver medals respectively, with the bronze going to Danny Pinheiro Rodrigues of France.
Lu Bin performed a routine valued at 7.2, while the difficulty of Yan's routine reached 7.4, the highest of all presented this evening. In technical execution Lu Bin's excellent performance earned a 9.10, the highest mark so far, from one of the judges, and two of the six B-score judges awarded him over 9.00. His final B-score turned out to be 8.80, also the highest of all.
Frenchman Danny Pinheiro Rodrigues's routine reached 7.3 in difficulty value but he eventually had to place third with a lowest score of 8.20 for his technical execution.
