(Beijing, November 29) In the men's team final of the 2007 Artistic Gymnastics International Invitational Tournament this evening, China came from the fourth place after the second round to play strong in the rings and rallied to win the title, its second gold of the day after Jiang Yuyuan won the women's individual all-around title this morning.

Raphaël Wignanitz of France finished atop in the first round of vault with 16.400 points but was soon surpassed by Romanian Flavius Koczi's 16.475 in the second round.

China's first two events were floor and pommel horse. Thanks to Lu Bin's good job on the horse gaining 15.275, China stood at fourth after the second round.

In the round of rings, China's trio of Lu Bin, Lu Bo and Yan Mingyong combined to collect a total of 47.950 points to be the first, leading Romania by 1.025. Germany remained at the bottom.

After a perfect opener the Romanians only finished fourth in the rings and parallel bars and dropped to the fifth position after four rounds. Yang Tae Young's game-high 15.800 points in the parallel bars helped Korea to finish second.

China maintained its advantage in the fifth round as Feng Zhe erupted to get 16.175 points in parallel bars. Japan had two veterans scoring 15.700 in this round, only to see Uchimura Kohei squander away their best opportunity to top the standings.

In the last round China scored 43.425 in the horizontal bar, trailing Japan's 45.550, but was good enough to rely on its previous performances to grab the gold with 275.925. The second and third places went to Japan (272.875) and Korea (271.300) respectively.
