The third round for the top three gymnasts was balance beam. Chinese gymnasts all dropped off the apparatus in the qualifying competition of this event. But Jiang performed very steadily today, scoring 15.400, 0.3pt higher than Sloan. Joura scored only 14.950pts due to a slight error in the event, resulting in 1.05pts behind Jiang in her total score.
