The media help desk provides the following services:
Information services
Technology support from China Mobile & China Netcom
Free copy service
Pay Fax
Games Publications
Notice board with media shuttle bus timetable, etc.

Press Workroom
The press workroom provides the following equipment and services to facilitate journalists to compile and transmit reports directly from the competition venue:
200 work stations with power outlets
Pigeonholes delivering updated news services
Lockers
Laptop chain locks
CATV Monitors
Pay Phones
Pay ADSL
Pay Broadband Internet service
Pay WLAN Internet service
Public facilities including work stations, lockers, laptop chain locks will be available on the principle of first-come, first-served. Due to safety and security requirements, the locker key should be returned to the help desk before you leave the venue. No personal belongings are allowed to stay overnight in the lockers. The media services team is not liable for any damage or loss of the items in the lockers.
Photo Workroom
The photo workroom provides the following equipment and services to facilitate to photographers to edit and transmit photos directly from the competition venue:
60 work stations with power outlets
Pigeonholes delivering updated news services
Lockers
Notebook computer chain locks
CATV Monitors
Pay Phones
Pay ADSL
Pay Broadband Internet service
Pay WLAN Internet service
Public facilities including work stations, lockers, laptop chain locks will be available on the principle of first-come, first-served except POOL photographers have priority. Due to safety and security requirements, the locker key should be returned to the help desk before you leave the venue. No personal belongings are allowed to stay overnight in the lockers. The media services team is not liable for any damage or loss of the items in the lockers.
Media Tribune
The media tribune is set up with both tabled and non-tabled seats, offering a good view of the competition. Some tabled seats are reserved for TV commentators and world news agencies while the others will be on the principle of first come first served. All tabled seats are equipped with power outlets while the whole media tribune is covered by WLAN. We provide printed news services like start list and results to the media tribune.
Mixed Zone
After the competition or medal ceremony, the athletes will be interviewed briefly by media in the mixed zone. Media are prohibited to enter the athlete pathway. Additional stickers will be needed for media to get access to the mixed zone for high demand events in case it will be too crowded to interview.
Press Conference Room
Medalists and their coaches will be invited to attend the press conference after passing through the mixed zone. Interpreting service is to be provided with English and Chinese as the target languages.
To ensure the smooth undergoing of the press conference, the press conference host will remind all media to switch mobile phones to silence and raise hand to get a chance to ask questions.
Camera and photo platforms are set up at the rear end of press conference room with equal height of the podium where the athletes and host sit.
Media Lounge
The media lounge is located at the corridor near the media tribune, providing media with free soft drinks and snacks.
